So lately...

Alright so apparently I fell off the blogging planet. I haven't been around much and there is just simply no excuse for that! So I am back.
Okay let me update you on the things going on around here...
My "biggest losers" contest ended 2 weeks ago and w/ out sounding cocky I would like to announce... I WON!!! I lost 28 pounds in 12 weeks. Now before you start asking how, let me answer that, for the most part (I say most part because sometimes I would cheat) I stopped eating white flour and High fructose corn syrup. Which both are in everything!! But I somehow managed to get around that and still eat. I didn't really even exercise until month 3 or just before. But I lost the first 20 pounds in like 5 weeks which leads me to think, "how fat was I exactly?" oh well I don't need to worry about that weight anymore. Now on to the next 20-30 pounds. We started our competition again but this time we are only doing 8 weeks. So hopefully I can lose some more, and I am hoping w/ a shorter time frame that we can all be a little more motivated. I knew that competition drove me but I had no idea how much until this. It is great for me! Anyway enough w/ the fatty!

Last week I got to watch a baby for a few days, and I gotta tell ya, it was sooooo fun. I think I am a little crazy! He just fit into my day so well. So thanks Kristine for letting me have your baby for a bit. He was as sweet as could be!

It is amazing how much you think you have to blog about until you get here and then all your brilliant ideas go away. Oh well, I am sure I will think of more later!

Stinkin Cute Kits

I have finally managed to get this thing up and running, and am ready to start selling my "Stinkin Cute Kits". For those of you who don't know what I am talking about, I just opened an online scrapbooking kit site. What I am doing is putting together coordinating papers and embellishments into a monthly kit- all you have to do is order and scrap away! I am way excited about this. If you could be so kind as to pass the word along to anyone you know that might be interested in some stinkin cute scrapbook kits, it would be much appreciated! I had a birthday...

So my b-day was last week and I gotta say it was fabulous!! Eliott took the day off. So in the morning he madfabe sure Seth got to the bus and then he made me breakfast in bed! I have playgroup/biggest loser weigh in on wednesday morning so he let me go by myself!! It was so fun to just be able to chat w/ my friends and not have to worry about the kids. I have these super cute shoes in white and black and I was telling Eliott I wanted them in brown too so he told me to just go buy them! Wow, okay! Well they didn't come in brown, I was a little bummed. So for my day he got me this fabulous hair straightner!! (thanks Julie for helping him!!) I love it! So I pretty much got to do whatever I wanted all day. He had planned on taking me to dinner but the kids were sick so I didn't want some poor girl to have to watch them and get sick too. So we ordered pizza and Eliott got me my all-time favorite, mint chocolate chip ice cream from baskin robins. and then I got to watch law and order all night. it was a fabulous day!! Thanks Eliott!!!!

Big things over here...

So a little while ago my brothers convinced Seth to take his training wheels off. He had them off for about a month or so and couldn't figure out how to ride so he kept asking us to put them back on. Finally Eliott told him if he didn't figure it out by the afternoon on Saturday he would put them back on. At like 11:00 on that saturday morning he came running inside and told Eliott he could throw the training wheels away. He had figured it out and in the backyard on the grass no less! He loves it and everyday asks if we can go out front so he can ride on the street!

Lexi is in undies!!!

So last week Lexi decided she wanted to be a big girl and use the potty! I don't know how I have lucked out but I have had a seriously easy time potty training. Saturday, Sunday and Monday she asked to go potty and actually did. #1 and #2!!! So Monday after she did that I decided it was time. The first day was rough but she did great. She insisted on having Riley's helmet and knee/elbow pads on, and I thought it was funny! So there she is!

She has been fabulous! She has had a couple accidents during nap time but has woken up every morning completely dry. (yes I am one of those moms that ditch the diaper as soon as undies go on so she wears undies to bed!) When she has an accident she calls it "spill" It is so cute except that means I have to clean up pee! So I only have 1 left in diapers and only have to buy 1 box a month now!! Can I tell you how excited I am?!!!!!

Last week...

So Eliott went to Florida last week which was a long week! Seth had to get tubes in his ears. We went and stayed the night at my mom-in-law (thanks sooooo much!!!) . She watched the girls for me while I took Seth to get his ears fixed! I was soooo excited for this to happen as he had a hard time understanding us. He had fluid behind both ear drums so it sounded like people were talking underwater. It was so frustrating because he would pass the hearing test w/ flying colors but that was only because he knew he was supposed to be listening otherwise it was all funny background noise. Anyway we had to get up and be at the surgery center at 7:00

So we got there and there was this fun magnet board on the wall and Seth had so much fun playing w/ it. This is the "car" he made.


Then we went back to get all checked in and he got to pick the flavor of the mask that he would wear as he fell asleep. And he picked cotton candy. When they took him back it was a little sad to sit in the waiting room by myself. I am glad it only took 15 minutes!! When the Dr. was done he came out to talk to me and he just had this "look" on his face and he starts saying in a very subdued voice "he had a tonnnn of fluid behind his ears" and then paused. I was waiting for him to tell me he ruined something and he would never hear again but then after he paused he finished w/ "so he should be much more comfortable now" (man buddy work a little on the bedside manner!)
Anway he was so sad when he woke up but it only lasted for an hour or so and then he was great!! And now he can hear really well.





In fact on the way back to my house I was talking to Eliott on the phone and Seth corrected something I had said. He was never able to hear that before!! (Which makes me glad for all the times I was having a conversation that he probably shouldn't have heard!!)
